Hi, I have been watching this site and gotten a lot of help from it's forums for the last few years as I started my flock. My daughter begged for chickens and I wanted nothing to do with them. I am afraid of birds, eyesight issues. As a child I was attacked in the face by a rooster. We got our flock started and now I am pretty much the sole caretaker LOL. We have 14 hens currently, a mix of breeds with a pair of Brahmas being the oldest and last remaining of my original flock. We have Arecaunas, several colors of Wyandottes, a Comet and black and red Sex Links. We have lost some to unknown issues and only 1 to a hawk. They are amazing and so funny. I enjoy them and having known nothing, you all have been most helpful with all the info that gets posted. Thank you

Welcome to Backyard Chickens I also am near blind but have a walking stick I use always here when I am outside including cleaning my coops of which I have 3 with 2 cockerel in my main coop
