Hello! Long time reader, new member. I have had my chickens for two years. With some girls lost and added. I just recently gained my first rooster earlier this year bringing our total to 10 chickens. I have two Australorp, 2 buff Orpington, 1 RIR, 1 Sapphire Gem, 1 Golden Laced Wyandotte, 2 Ameraucana (forgive my spelling). My girls that passed due to some wild animal attacks (why we got our rooster) we’re 2 dominques, 1 white leghorn, and another ameraucana. I love my chickens and have raised them since chicks except for the rooster. They their own personalities and I love the eggs and the different colors.
In addition to my chick hobbie, I am a homemaker to my husband and 10 m.o baby girl. I sew her and I clothes and also bake and prepare her yummy foods. I have one Chihuahua who is 5 and is afraid of the chickens haha.
I’ve been reading the forums here since I first got my chickens in 2020. Pictured are some of my first girls Meg (leghorn), Piper (Dominique with her), and Emerson (cuddly Dominique).
