Hey, Everyone!

This is our first foray into keeping chickens. We've had our ladies, and one gentleman, since March. Currently we have 6 Buffs(1 rooster;5 hens), 2 Cuckoo Marans(both hens) and 1 Black Australorp(hen. I'm pretty sure). I found BYC by way of Pinterest and Googling in general. We love travel, camping, snowboarding and movies but as of late I have been preoccupied with chickening. "We" are myself, my husband, our 9year-old son, 3year-old daughter and one awesome mutt named Lucie(woof!). Lucie has been great with the chickens. One her favorite hobbies is making sure the chickens get their "exercise"(don't worry, she never nips or bites at them).
