(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes. This is my first flock.
A: I’ve wanted to raise them since I was a kid. My grandparents owned chickens so I grew up with them.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
A: I have 7 young chickens (and 2 young ducks!)
(3) What breeds do you have?
A: 4 Easter Eggers, 2 Lavender Orpingtons, and 1 Barred Plymouth.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
A: I love their different personalities and the chicken cuddles!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
A: Camping, Hiking, Baking, Paper crafts with my kids, D&D, gardening.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
A: I’m married with 4 kids, 2 dogs, a father in-law lol!, and the birds! We love to do the outdoors together and the kids are really enjoying our new adventure with the chickens and ducks.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
A: I ran across the page a couple months ago through google, and found myself coming back to read over and over. Decided it’s finally time to make it official!
