Hi there! I’m brand new to backyard chickens. I have a small flock of 6 chickens and 2 ducks. 1 golden polish, 1 silver polish, 1 bantam pyncheon, 1 black frizzle, 1 white silkie, 1 self blue d’uccle. My ducks are a Cayuga and a Khaki Campbell. Everyone is about 10 weeks old. Successfully made it through the brooder box and out to the coop and duck run in the garden area. Looking forward to getting educated here and being a good poultry mamma! Also have 3 dogs, 2 cats and a 70 gallon fish tank lol. And 4 kids. We keep pretty busy lol

So you are a duck guy? How do you tell if you have a drake or a duck?? I’m worried my Cayuga is a drake but pretty sure my khaki Campbell is a duck. She quacks. I don’t want them to be in a stressful situation.

How old are they? At eight weeks all Mallard-Derived breeds should be able to be sexed by voice, females QUACK, males sound raspy.
