Our town just started allowing backyard chickens. Between my son's family and us we have 12 chicks that are just a couple weeks old, and still in the house. Picked up some recycled lumber today and will start with a couple mobile tractors. When the town finalizes the permanent coop part of the ordinance then we will work on that. Looking forward to seeing our girls grow up and fill out into beautiful hens.
We have an assortment and hopefully none of them will crow. Black australorp, black jersey giant, buff orps, easter eggers, barred rocks, amber link, and ISA brown, They are getting their tail feathers and they are just so stinking cute. The grand kids have named them all.
