Hello! I am a newbie from Texas!

Hello, just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jennifer, I live in a small town Ferris,Texas. I have recentley moved into my home on 10 acres and am starting to raise chickens. I have 3 Rhode Island Reds. I bought them saturday off a lady down the road, she said she bought them as chicks form the McMurray hatchery. They are about 1 year old and they are laying very pretty brown eggs! I am so excited about my chickens!! They are so pretty! My husband has the "chicken" bug now, so we are searching for more RIR and some Barred Rocks, or Dominecker's. They are so hard to find around here! If anyone knows were to get some hens that are around 6 months or older please let me know!
