You do, that's awesome!! What did you name yours? How many did you get, is this the first time you have had ducks?Welcome to BYC!
I also have some 2 month old Welsh Harlequins. They are hilarious to watch! So sorry that yours are sick.
I wanted to say I’m praying for your duckie. We recently got our first ducks, 3 Rouens. They are so funny and talkative. Ducks are one of the best pets I’ve come to love. Keep us posted! You do, that's awesome!! What did you name yours? How many did you get, is this the first time you have had ducks?
Beautiful Ducks!!! They look like females so hopefully they are. You will hear loud quacks when you pick them up if they are. That is how you can usually tell. If you hear the raspy voice then they are probably boys. Being that large they should have been able to be sexed I would think so they probably are all girls. Enjoy them. I love my Ducks.Today we went to the local flea market and they had ducks. We bought a khaki cambell ( female right?)
Then two Cayuga’s which I was told both females. I’m praying that it’s true since we had 3 Rouens already and I am pretty sure two are drakes. So that’s my latest update! My husband and I are in LOVE!! we have definitely become duck parents!!

Thank you! Some I can get that “ QUAACKK” really loud but like the Cambell, she squeaks sometimes. The Black I’m not really sure yet cause they are quieter when close. There’s one Rouen always with Sunny ( cambell) and so I’m wondering will it be her bff or possibly her bf and some neck nibbling has happened. Nothing to hurt anyone else. I love sitting with them! Definitely duck lover!Beautiful Ducks!!! They look like females so hopefully they are. You will hear loud quacks when you pick them up if they are. That is how you can usually tell. You are most welcome. Another way to tell is if they get that curl of one feather at the end of their tails. That's called the drake curl. Sometimes these methods don't always work but most of the time they do. Every once in a while one is born that possibly does not have a curl and ends up being a drake. Or sounds more like a boy and ends up laying an egg. Those are very rare though and most of the time the curl and quack are right on. Mine are too young for the curl and don't have the quack yet. They say at 10 weeks they have their true voice so I am not giving up on hoping for possibly a couple of girls since mine are only 6 weeks old. I am happy that you folks are loving them. There is nothing like a Duck and I love them too.Thank you! Some I can get that “ QUAACKK” really loud but like the Cambell, she squeaks sometimes.
