I'm motivated to learn more about chickens. We raise pinto ponies and have land. I only have 4 chicks that are 6 weeks old. I can't find what breed this one pictures is descended from. I think it's a miniature of a large breed. Curly feathers. Thx show pony.

Glad you could join the flock! How nice of your Grandchildren to get you into chicken keeping Curly feathers would certainly point me towards it being a frizzle. I have frizzles of the polish variety. The frizzle feathers just add that something a bit different to them. Hope are able to post some pics so other members can help you ID them.
