Hello, I am from East Yorkshire in Britain. I am new to this hobby.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

I am completely new to chickens.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

I am attempting to hatch some Rhode Island Reds. I am at Day +23 and I have opened a thread about this.

(3) What breeds do you have?

I am hoping to hatch some Rhode Island Reds.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?

Google search.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Allotment. I also like astronomy.

Welcome to BYC. Did you check your thermometer to make sure that it was accurate ? If temperatures were on the low side, eggs can go beyond the normal 21 day period. Good luck for a successful hatch.

Greetings and welcome to BYC! So glad you joined us. Hope your hatching goes well. Seems a litle "past due" though... There's a wealth of info, knowledge and experience shared in the multitude of threads. Browse around and see what interesting stuff you can find. By all means post away when the desire strikes you, especially if you have questions (provide as much detail/info as possible and pictures truly help)... With all the great folks here, generally someone will respond in no time at all. Please make yourself at home!

Oh, if you haven't done so already, PLEASE put at least your general location in your profile. It could be very important if/when you ask for or offer help or advice. You know, climate issues and such. Old folks like me will never remember from this thread. To add it, mouse hover over Account top right and a drop down will appear. Click on Personal Details and scan down. You'll see the spot for Location. Then go to the bottom and save changes. Thanks! Hope you enjoy the site!
