Hi! My name is Jackie and I live near Raleigh NC. I have decided after many years of thinking about it that I want to have a small back yard flock of chickens. I have an old 10 x 10 dog kennel that I am planning on transforming into their house!

I do look forward to getting fresh eggs as a benefit but I also have always loved chickens and living on a small hobby horse farm without them for years seems sad!

I will be searching around for coop ideas and helpful tips! Would love to talk to anyone else who has chickens in the local area!
