Hello, just Wondering if tea tree mulch keeps away lice and mites? thank you

I pulled this off the internet.

Essential oils sprayed onto the affected hens that kill lice include: anise, cinnamon, clove, lavender, nutmeg, peppermint, rosemary and thyme.

You could plant any of these near the coop.

Half of those would cause respiratory system and skin issues , be careful if you spray.

Need a little more detail on their coop. If you have one that's elevated with legs you can put metal flashing around the legs.

But inside you can put up sticky tape underneath the roosting bars to help catch and identify pests.

Nuthatch, I suggested planting. Chickens can walk by them, or completely avoid them. I let pennyroyal grow in my grass, which repels fleas. Lavender is pretty and not nearly as invasive as peppermint. We have options.
