Hello everyone. I'm a new member to BYC but have been referring to BYC for a while. We currently have 5 hens and a rooster. 2 Hens and the rooster are mutts (Sofia, Dorothy, and Stan). We have an Amerauca (Rose) and 2 White Rhode Islands (Blanch and Bianca). Then we have 15 chicks, and 3 ducklings. My passion.for them started last summer. We had 16 chickens when the winter started, sadly due to the severe cold spells we had and a rogue dog we lost all but the 5 above mentioned. :'( We have revamped our coop and reported the dog to the owner many times then to the city hall to control that problem. I anticipate a better winter however far away that may be lol

Thank you! I love old lady names for chickens and I thought the Golden Girls would be perfect for their namesakes lol. My kids have helped name the chicks and among them we have Spiderman and Angry Bird.
