I am very new to this, I found your board and used some combined hen houses as a concept for the one we built. I have 10 hens and a rooster (I hope it's a rooster) they are still young yet. 5 are 10 wks old, 1 is 8 wks old and 5 are 5 wks old. Started out with all the same age but one of my Polish Bantams died and it was my sweetie 'big bird' so I went to a different person to get one as a replacement and came back with more than I anticipated. Then we thought we had all hens and one rooster but we had four roosters lol sooooo thats where the 5 five week olds come in we had to exchange

I'm not good at terminology; I 'had' 2 Polish Bantams now down to 1 Golden Polish, I have one Barred Chochin, 3 Rhode Island Red mixed with White Leghorns, 2 Barred Rocks one of which I believe is my rooster, I have 3 really pretty White Leghorns. And then another *my main pic* I don't know what she is other than an Ameraucana a silver one and she is my favorite she picked me as her pet
. I love gardening and animals so this year we added the chickens already had a garden for years and I am bulldog lover so now it is perfect. Have six children my little boys love to help feed the diddles, my husband is just ready for them to start laying and the rooster to annoy our neighbor
