Hi everyone. I am new to this group and a new Chicken, owner. I purchased my very the end of February and they have been laying every day for the last 2 1/2 weeks.
I am loving my little backyard flock, and I'm realizing that I spoil them way too much. But exactly how much is too much really? Lol
I am looking for any ideas on pretty much anything. My gracious husband built them a two-story coop with nesting boxes and a nice run area. In the next month or so he's going to build a roof over the run since we live in Idaho and it gets cold here. The coop walls are insulated.
Any input in food treats, blending new chickens into the roost would be greatly appreciated. I could share what I've tried so far because it has not worked and I would love for something to work before winter.
I have two Americana's that are scared of everything and refuse to blend. Its causing me me way to much work.
So excited to have of joined this group.
