I am new to this website. My wife and I decided we wanted some chickens to free range and have eggs to eat.

Thus far I am 31 chickens 3-4 weeks old. Barred rock, sex link, production reds.

I am kinda lost on some of them. some were yellow/white and are starting to get red feathers. I think they are some kinda red somethings.

Mainly I just got some that are white with yellow heads, white feathers with one or two black spots... the guy at the feed store called them Tetra....something. But I cant find any information on them. if someone has an idea what they are... that would be very helpful.

Anyway, I plan on spending a lot of time on this site. Have a great day!

! Welcome to the wonderful world of chickens! The birds in question might be Tetra Tints. Just what those are is something of a mystery. Feed stores are notoriously bad about mixing up chickens into different totes and the breeds getting mixed up. Speaking of mixed up - read this old thread:

https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/462245/tetra-tints

But whatever they are I'm sure they will be well cared for and you will love them!
