Hi! My name is Alicia and I am a single mom of 3 wonderful children...I fell in love with animals a few years ago when I bought 40 acres in a very small Alabama town to get away from the busy city life. I had no idea what I was in for when we adopted a dog from a shelter because my love of animals just grew from there. I can’t get enough 
. I adopted 4 more pups and a kitten (found her on the side of the road 
). Now here I am with 3 mini pigs, 3 Pygmy goats, 8 chickens and 8 ducks and I am addicted! I just can’t get enough! My favorite time(s) of day Is when I get to feed and play with all my babies! Little did I know that what started as pets for my girls, now tweens (once the “newness and baby stage” ended so did their interest) became a life changer for me...I love to sit and watch the all but my chickens and ducks take the cake. They’re fun to watch. Especially since my rooster thinks he’s a duck or the ducks think they’re chickens haha, I can’t decide. They were all raised as babies together at 2 different times and the 2 flocks stick together separately until nighttime when they’re all put up together. I still have lots of questions and I learn something new everyday but I wish I’d started sooner. I really want to expand and my absolute dream would be to start/open up an animal rescue farm. Anyway, enough about me! I look forward to chatting and learning from you all at BYC! Any and all Ideas and advice are much appreciated. By His Hands, Alicia
