Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? My chickens are about 5years and just got a rooster..I'm pretty new to the chicken world and the fact that there are so many breeds.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have 3 chickens, just adopted a rooster and 3 chicks
(3) What breeds do you have? I have an Americanna, Easter egger, California tan and rooster calso? I'm currently living for some old English game chickens!
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I love the fact that they eat the bugs. I did like the eggs but if I don't get them on time my German shepherds help themselves
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I love crafts and jewelry making! Love being outside
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We are a family of 7 just moved to a 40 acre ranch in San Diego county! We have 4 dogs, 2 cats , a macaw and a bearded dragon.. I work for my local humane society which doesn't help with my animals collection..lol..
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I just found this website trying to buy new chicks! I'm weary on ordering online and hope this group can help me find a legit hatchery! I almost got scammed twice, good thing I seen the red flags!!! I read some very cool and interesting post just love reading and seeing people's ideas and insight! That's what made me want to join!-jessica
