Hello! New from Los Angeles California! New quail keeper.

Hey there!
I hope it's ok that I'm peeking in here. My Fiancé and I just started keeping quail. And well, though we're only 2 days in after months of research and building a glorious hutch.... we have.... some questions.... Thank you for creating this forum, and thanks for having us!

Quail are really fun to keep! Just make sure not to over crowd them, keep the floor extremely clean if you are keeping them on wire. And add hidy things to the hutch like fake plants, Quail love to lurk under brush.

Thanks! excited to be here! we have a 6x3 raised hutch with 2 sections joined by a little doorway. 9 hens. The first sections is enclosed with 1/4 hardware cloth on all sides (the bottom is coated). then the second area is an enclosed, hard bottom, with sand and wood ash taking up about 3/4 of the floor.
