Hello, new from Ohio

Hello everyone. You can call me Mae.

I have had chickens/Turkeys most of my life. Started at a young age in 4H. Some of my favorites are Ameraucanas, Silkies, Bantam Cochins, and Saramas.

We have a small egg laying flock of 18, and a small bantam Flock of 21. We really enjoy watching them in the yard and our kids love holding and petting them.

I am still a big part of 4H and actually am the Junior Fair Rabbit Advisor and co-Chicken Advisor for my local county. I just recently started focusing on breeding and separating our Bantam flock to hatch chicks for our kids and they are loving that!

I am excited to be here!

Hurray for you -- passing on your skills to 4-Her's. Maybe it will become a lifelong adventure for them like it has for you.

I probably say this about every breed I ever have, but I ABSOLUTELY love one of your favorites: Cochin Bantams. And, the chicks are so very tiny; one of my friends said hers looked like little tater tots with legs.
