(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? No, My 3rd grade class hatched chicks and we each had our name on an egg. My chick had deformed legs and I was heartbroken. So my dad took me to a commercial chicken farm and that's where I got Julie, a white leghorn hen. I had Julie until I graduated high school. I couldn't wait to graduate college so I could get my own place and more chicken pets! Now I'm 41 and still love these beautiful animals!

(3) What breeds do you have? Silver Laced Barnvelder, Silver Sebrights, Light Brahma, Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, English Chocolate Orpington, Hertitage Barred Rocks

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? gardening, yard sales, fishing
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share Family of 3. Our little boy is almost 5 and he loves chickens too. We have a 12 yr old yorkie and a few aquarium fish. I'm a stay at home mom and former dental hygienist.
