Hi, my name is John. I'm from Long Island, NY and have just recently gotten my first 6 chicks. I have had them for a week and am getting ready to build a coop for them. Most likely the Purina mills coop that I found. I look forward to chatting with all of you as I progress and learn about raising my chickens.

a good rule of (chicken) thumb is to double the size of whatever you are building. Chicken math and total addiction are prone to follow and you would need to build at least another coop or two to house everyone.
