Hello all...
My wife and I are just setting up a coop and enclosure here in our northern Vermont backyard.
Our only other poultry experience was a stint caring for chickens that were veterans of a West Nile Virus sentinal bird warning program several years ago. They either had been tested "positive" for the virus, or had survived an encounter with an animal such as a racoon. They weren't necessarily "pretty", but they were spunky...and good layers.
We can see that this forum will be a great help in answering questions, hearing of people from all over (and, hopefully nearby) with similar interests, and also help in locating birds.
Looking forward to shared experiences.
