(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I'm not new to chickens nor do I own them, I simply like to help out the chickens and baby chicks that reside in my backyard.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Well, there's two hens in the back, one of then has 4 new babies, the 5th one had spraddled leg but mama wouldn't let me help.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I don't know anything about chicken breeds except for silkies.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Just simply watching them thrive and trying to protect them
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Singing, drawing, painting, making music, and video games, but I'll definitely push all of those to the side to help out my feathered friends in the back.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm in high school and unemployed at the moment. I'll keep my family stuff private for now.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC yesterday while trying to figure out why one of the newborn chicks was walking as if it was drunk (turns out it was spraddled leg, and mama hen is not with the little one this morning) and how to help it before mama hen walked away. I decided to join since everyone here seems nice and I'd also like to learn more about caring for chickens and different breeds.
