Greetings - I decided to sign up to be a BYC member after lurking here for several months...
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes - just got my first chickens the day before Mother's Day (was my Mother's Day gift from my husband)
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Four
(3) What breeds do you have? 1 Barred Rock, 1 Production Red and 2 New Hampshire Reds - all pullets (so far!)
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Through a Google search on chickens
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening, music
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. We live in North Central NC on 10 acres. We also have 2 dogs and 3 cats.
