In the Brooder
Hello,
I'm new to byc.
Also new to keeping chickens. blue isbar, cream leghorn/amerucana cross, cukoo maran/plymoth cross and lavender isbar are our ladies and they are all 4 months old, currently on purina growth crumbles and electrolytes/vitamins to deal with the heat.
I used marine bilge blowers to circulate air, they are waterproof and 12 volt and come in 3,4,5 and 6 inch diameters and can be mounted remotly and ducted (dryer hose) into the coop.
Additionally, a seed sprouting pad which is waterproof can be rolled up and placed in the tube. it is a constant 70 degrees and will provide warm air during the temparary cold spells which go into the 20's on occasion for a month or so.( sorry northerners ).
