My son saw me trying to recover my password to this forum and he said, “You aren’t going to get chickens again, are you?” Well, maybe.
I got sucked back into looking at baby chicks this afternoon, and decided I want to raise Modern Game Bantams. I had some back in the ‘00’s and they were the most useless, and coolest, characters. My first Modern Game roo mated with a black Silkie and we got the Half-blood Prince, and he was tall, black, glossy, and gorgeous. Even though he was ‘beta,’ all the hens would sneak to where the dominant Old English Bantam rooster couldn’t see, and crouch for the Prince. Just about every chick that hatched was black. We had to depopulate the flock when my health couldn’t keep up with them
Anyway, I ventured over to Ideal’s website to price the Moderns, and to my horror they were GONE
Horrors! Guess I know what I’ll be doing, raising Modern Game Bantams since it seems no one else is. Now how to get my seed birds....
