Greetings!
I'm not new to backyardchickens (been my go to for looking up questions), but I'm new to participating in the forums. My first (and currently only) flock was started in 2015. I had zero experience around chickens. So I bought twenty from an online order. Two weeks later, I found homes for 11 chicks. My first and only loss was of the remaining nine was an EE to scissor beak. I raised 1 RIR, 4 Easter Eggers - with pretty light blue eggs -, 2 Buff Orpington, and 2 Australorps. I currently only have the latter four after re-homing the first four a week ago.
I live with my sister on a few acres. We have two spoiled dogs. One loves to chase the ladies. One loves what comes out of the ladies...
I work as a interface designer and spend a good chunk of my free time doing DIY projects and construction to fix/pretty up my property.
