Hello to all,
I am returning after several years of absence. I am currently on my second set of hens as the first got taken by something. I tried trapping what ever was getting my girls but unsuccesfully. The darn predator took the bait tripping the trap. I was so frustrated. So now my new girls, three of them, are locked in their coop at night and only get to roam free for about an hour in the evening.
One of my current hens, an Orpington, just went broody again so I put 4 eggs under her. Hope she gets to be a mom in about 3 week.
