Hi all,

I have been reading tons of stuff on this site for a month before finally getting our first 3 pullets this week. Finally joined so I can ask questions and hopefully have my own helpful advice after a while!

For the most part the new babies are settling in well!

1 Plymouth Rock "Pepper", 1 Rhode Island Red "Ginger", and 1 Black Australorp "Sydney"
Pepper is the smallest of the group but already has decided that she is the boss! Lots of great "Chicken TV" already.

I am happy you joined us here on our wonderful forum and I hope yo continue to be a member here. I have some questions about your flock and if you have any time I would appreciate it if you could answer them...
1. How old are your pullets?
2. Have they laid any eggs yet?

I was wondering because when you used the term pullet which is a young hen I wasntt sure whether they were laying or not. I also have some links that I give to people most are common and some are unique based on your intro and what you may need help or experience in...

The last link is just in case you wanna share pics and stories of your chickens to the public so we can get to know you and your flock...

I wish you and your new flock the best of luck and I hope you enjoy our forum!

They are 5 weeks old. Still chick-like. Got a little while to wait for the eggs!
I am sure they are super cute! Yes they will start laying when they are around 6 months old. All the best of luck to you!
