(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? We are 4 weeks in!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We started with 24 but recently lost one. So 23.
(3) What breeds do you have?
we have 2 Spotted Sussex, 2 Olive Eggers, and 19 Starlight Green eggers
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
We are still in the brooder, but we are enjoying getting to know their personalities and observing their antics. All of the "chicken" sayings are making more sense than ever.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Garden, involvement in church
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Married for almost 25 years... 5 kids. We did newborn foster care for 6.5 years. Moved to south central Texas almost 2 years ago.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I googled for information and it popped up!
