Hello, we're from Alta Loma, TX

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Looking forward to seeing more of your pics. What breeds do you have? Not weird at all to give them names. Not all mine are named but the ones that are really do answer to them.

Be sure to ask any questions that you may have, everyone here to help and very friendly.

Enjoy BYC :frow

Thanks, for sure I know I have Rhode Island Reds and I thought the others were Leghorns and Dominick, with one that looks like a Dominick but with red streaks instead of white. But I was just told my white chickens aren't leghorns, they have a few black spots, I don't know. I need to send in some pictures, love this site, and there is one for cows? Good ness, I know those a little better than chickens. :) rg's

I don't think it's weird to give them names. I've already named a lot of mine and they're a week old or so. Could just be that they're my first chickens aside from the pet ones my granny kept for me when I was little. :)

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. My wife and I were both raised in the great state of Texas. It's definitely not weird to name your chickens. Most BYC members do it, and my granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) names our hens after Disney princesses.) Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Of course it's not strange that you have named them! I've named all five of my hens. Gracie, Sunny, Daisy, Rosie and Quanie are their names

What are the names did you give them? Sounds like they are quite lovely birds!
