Hello from Texas! I'm new to this site and it looks to be a good place to go for information for the newbie chicken enthusiast. I am eagerly awaiting my order of 12 day-old chicks from Ideal.com (4 Black Australorps, 4 Ameraucaunas and 4 Silver Laced Wyandottes) which will be shipped out tomorrow. I cannot wait to hear my baby chicks peeping from their brooder box! The fellas in my family built an AWESOME chicken tractor coop that predominately consists of PVC pipe and siding, for my little peepers to be housed, after they've feathered out, of course. Do y'all have any sage words of widsom or general chick raising advice for me?

Thank you AK Baha, I am getting lots of great information from this site. Thanks Sue, I think that's why the guys built me a pretty large chicken tractor coop; they anticipated that I may enjoy my chickens so much that I may need room for more...lol!
