Hello everyone,
My name is Myllisa and I am new on BYC We have 8 hens and 1 rooster, which we have had for about a year. We are now also adventuring goat raising. I am excited to be here and get help with questions that we still have regarding the chickens.
 
Hi, Mylissa, welcome to BYC. In the 'Miscellaneous' forum there is a section for 'Other pets or livestock' you might also want to click on BackYardHerds.com for help with the goats.

Sounds like a farm in the making. We did the same thing...started with chickens, then moved into goats, then rabbits. I think we're stopping there (at least for now). What kind of goats are you interested in?

We started our with Boar Goats for my daughter's 4-H project. Now we have a Alpine, and a Nigerian Dwarf. I am wanting to do Dairy so I can make cheese.
 
Welcome to BYC, Myllisa. Glad you decided to join our flock. Raising chickens is a wonderful experience for children. Our children and granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) loved our chickens and made lap pets of the calmer and more gentle breeds.
