Hi all, my name ias Ray and i am new to the world of raising chickens. I was raised around chickens when i was young, they belonged to my grandparents, but have never had an myself. We have just acquired some land where we can have chickens so here i am getting some ideas on what to do, and what i need to get started. Looking forward to learning more and watching them as they grow.

There are so many great articles there to help you get started and manage your own flock.

I would also suggest you visit the coops/runs forum to get ideas on what type of coop and run are right for you.

And when building their home, plan for protection against the area's predators.
