Just joined...... I am relatively new to chicken raising. I'm about 5 months in. I started with six adult Delawares that came with our new home. I raised 6 more Delaware chicks. I now have 8 after losing 3 to raccoons and one to the rooster that I posted a question about on another thread. I absolutely love my girls and being a chicken momma.

You may want to check out the predator thread for advice in safeguarding your flock from raccoons. They were successful so they will come back for the leftovers.
