Hi everyone!
I have been into chickens for about 2 years now. I also just raised my first batch of ducks this spring.
About a month ago, my neighbor's dogs got into my coop/run at night and killed 14 of my chickens and all 7 of my ducks (who had just started laying) :-( I was absolutely devastated!
That left me with 1 rooster (rhode island red) and 3 hens (1 rhode island red and 2 brown leghorns). I also had 8 chicks who are now close to 3 months months old, but they were in a different area (luckily!).
I now have an additional 8 chicks who are 6 weeks old and just this past weekend I added 4x 5 month old Buff Orpingtons (well I think 1 may be a rooster), 2x 6 month old red sex links, and 2x 6 month old barred rocks.
That's it about me! I look forward to learning more!

Your neighbor should offer you restitution for the carnage. In many areas it is within the law to shoot dogs that are attacking your flock. Document any more losses and hopefully get a photo or two of the attacking dogs. Then show it to police or animal control officers.
