(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I first got chickens and found this forum a couple years ago. I had to give up my chickens then for a variety of reasons. A few days ago I got a couple hens from a friend who also gave my daughter 3 chicks for her birthday.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
2 adult hens and 3 chicks roughly 3 weeks old.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Not a clue. I don't think they're of any particular breed as the friend who gave them to me selects the birds that lay eggs of the colour she likes and are good layers to keep in her breeding program.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Probably an internet search. I don't really remember.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I crochet and spend time with my various animals.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a 5 year old daughter, 4 dogs, 6 cats, 2 guinea pigs plus 4 baby guinea pigs, 2 cockatiels, a flemish giant rabbit, and now 5 chickens.
