hi everyone! New chicken tender. My flock will be a year old this spring. I started with 10 (having to replace a few) and now I’m down to 8.
- White Leghorn Buttercup
-Easter Egger Misha
- Buff Orpington Gold
-Golden Comet Lily
-Bared Plymouth Rock Sour
-Welsummer Sweet pea
-Speckled Sussex Chicketta
-Black australorp Chucky
It’s been a lot of learning and great egg yields. Winter hit and they ended up getting lice which was easy to get rid of odd enough. Getting them a bigger coop and 4 more chicks come April. So excited! Can’t wait to make some other chicke friends and continue learning.

Thank you guys! Going to be growing it with 4 more different breeds. I really want that rainbow dozen and I just love the look of all the different feathers! I just recently lost my Golden lace Wyandotte Snow to a coon. It was so sad.
Sorry to hear that! We don't have a Golden Laced Wyandotte at the moment either, but we used to and I always thought they were some of the prettiest hens we ever had. We do have a Silver Laced Wyandotte now, which is rather striking for a hen.

Oh yes I’ve seen one. They are nice. Going to be getting a silver laced Sebright. Now that’s a striking bird.

Yes, it is!

One problem with the more striking birds is that they make the others look rather plain. I used to really like the way our Plymouth Rocks looked. Now, next to the Silver Laced Wyandotte, they're kind of blah!
