(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Not new to chickens...This is my second time around with raising them. We had several breeds and flocks about 12 years ago including banty and turkey. We started this group almost 3 months ago, with both chicks and eggs. My 19 year old son is the main coop ceo.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 18 right now and 4 more eggs in the incubator.
(3) What breeds do you have?
We have Swedish Flower hens....Lavender Americana...oh and 2 regular Americana that we rescued from wandering the isles of the farm store my son works....
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Searching for some injury answers on line.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I like camping and kayaking. My son loves to fish. He is also likes to work on cars and trucks (especially his 67 Mustang)
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My son is in college and works part time at a ranch/farm store. I'm a nurse. We have a cattle dog and an indoor cat. I swore I wasn't going to help with the chickens this time I had enough on my plate....but here I am sucked in with no return.....
