(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? We moved to a 10 acre property 8 years ago and have had chickens for the past 7 years.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Currently we have 9 ISA Brown and 1 Black Copper Marans hen and 2 BCM roosters
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? We love the fresh eggs for ourselves and to share with family and friends. My three-year old granddaughter LOVES to gather eggs and pet them.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Anything outdoors and active - gardening, jogging, bicycling, hiking - breathing FRESH AIR
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. We own and husband manages bike and fitness shops, we have 3 dogs, 2 teens still at home; an adult daughter, a son who died last fall of an overdose and his sweet daughter; I work in healthcare, providing health and wellness services direct to employers
