Hi! It was recommended to make an introduction so here it is!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I had 12 chickens while I was growing up in my childhood home. Then we got 4 a few years later when those passed, and we had to give them away when we moved due to the laws in our new town. Now we moved again and are getting new chicks
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
5 currently! I’m looking to add 1-2 bantams though (why I joined!)
(3) What breeds do you have?
I’m not exactly sure, but they will all be laying hens (and hopefully no roo’s)
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I raise them for eggs! I love fresh eggs every day, and I love having eggs to give to my neighbors when they need some!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I’m getting into taxidermy as a hobby, which will hopefully turn into a career
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I’m a full time high school student, and I own 12 animals that aren’t chickens currently. I also breed asf rats
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found the site a while ago while looking for some information on bobcat proofing my coop, and I decided to sign up because I’m looking for some breeders near me!
