That's great you took in some chicken that were displaced by the Camp Fire. Do you know how many chickens were never claimed by their owners because they had no where to keep them?

Quite a few but all have found new homes

Welcome to BYC. Good for you, taking in chickens that lost their homes to fires. I have read so much about pets and livestock displaced by that - sent donations out to the vet college that was taking them all in and caring for them. So scary.

That's awesome that you adopted some chickens from the fires! My son's a CA firefighter and he had some stories to share with me about how the fire guys fed and watered stray chickens that were so courageous to make it through the fire days! He said the chickens are so smart to go it on their own when times get tough. Good to meet you.
