Hi everyone. I'm a new chicken owner with a flock of 8, 8 week old chicks. 5 came from my niece's flock and the other 3 from rural king. My niece's family has a swedish flower rooster who is a wonderful roo and they wanted his line to continue, so we got the first batch of babies. I'm afraid we may have 3 or 4 roos though. Only time will tell.

I'm going to keep one, Iris crowed yesterday so I guess she's now Ivan, and s/he is my favorite. Any others will go back to my niece and her husband. I hope they don't end up in their freezer.
