Hello all! I am from south east Ohio and have had 4 buff Orpingtons just short of a year! One of our hens just hatched 7 eggs from a mixed flock due to the fact we dont have a rooster! I also just purchased some speckled Sussex and sapphire splash pullets to ensure we have enough hens as it appears 3 of the 7 our hen hatched are hens. Looking forward to contnue learning about these quirky creatures that I am so glad we finally added to our farm already consisting of Boer Goats and Cattle!

Three cockerels are still going to be a lot for your flock. You may want to consider isolating the boys when they start in on the pullets, select the best of the bunch to keep and rehome the other two.

Three cockerels are still going to be a lot for your flock. You may want to consider isolating the boys when they start in on the pullets, select the best of the bunch to keep and rehome the other two.

If I got them right from The wing feather pictures lol! I will have 4.... however we won’t be keeping any of them due to having neighbors I need to keep the noise down for...
