WhatTheDuckingDuck
🪐Lost in space🪐
So we went a little bird-crazy, so what? Here’s what we got:
5 Mallard ducklings
5 what I’m assuming Khaki Campbells ducklings
1 pekin duck (Ben Aflac)
13 CX
7 Bantams (mixed kinds)
8 Ameraucanas
10 barnyard mix we hatched ourselves
3 Rhode Island Red
7 Black Sexlinks
5 Buff Orpington
5 Silver laced Wyandotte’s
5 Toulouse goose eggs in the incubator
All were hatchlings this spring.
Still building a coop/run
Plan to free-range
Neighbor’s dogs are annoying, fencing them out, city gave the okay to take matters into our own hands if need be, one already tried to attack my dogs and myself, I beat him with a log. Thank you no dog ordinances.
I’m surprised how much chickens eat. I figured about 200lbs just for the CX.
This is our first time with chickens, although I have tended to them in the past. I have never had my own flock. I currently don’t work so poultry is my new gig, aside from the garden! Good-bye for now!
PS
I really love the ducks. They are so silly.
