My wife, my two boys (8 and 11) and I have had 8 chickens over the last two years. A mix of the basic store bought chicks. Two buff orpingtons, two ameracaunas, two bards, and we were surprised when we bought “two sexed lavender Orpington chicks” and they grew into two completely unidentifiable roosters... We our non dominant rooster, both buffs and a bard to a coon about three weeks ago. Then we found one of our Amercaunas was broody and we are hopeful that she is about to repopulate our flock. We are located in Paragould, Arkansas. And my wife is honestly the chicken lady, and I just do all the work on the coop and run...
