Good morning. I've been reading posts for quite some time and decided to jump in and comment occasionally. I have 4 Australorps including one rooster that are getting older, three Guinea fowl and four American Buff geese plus 6 rescue chicks.....someone bought them for their children and realized they weren't set up for chickens and decided they didn't want them. I love my birds and I've had chickens and guinea fowl for about 10 years. The geese I've only had for a few years and they are challenging, but real characters. I've learned a lot reading posts and look forward to adding to them.
 
I'm a little jealous of your six American Buff geese. I just have two but, you're right about them being real characters. Gussie and Golly are constantly doing new (and often slightly naughty) things. Even when they're being bad, they are totally entertaining.

Golly likes to go places she's not supposed to go, and Gussie can be counted on to tattle, not to get her sister in trouble, but because she always wants to be thisclose to her. They often herd the runner ducks, who will parade in a straight line ahead of the geese as they are marched across the yard. Either goose will challenge a single chicken, but if faced by multiple hens, the "tough" girls will turn and run.
