(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I was raised having chickens (free range everywhere lol) and had chickens when my children were small (many years ago). I just got baby chicks again this past weekend! It’s been a while!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 5 and 4 more coming this week
(3) What breeds do you have? “Rainbow” Eggers - they came from a flock of Easter Eggers, Marans, leghorns, Wyandotte’s, welsummers, ameraucanas, cream Legbar and others
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Baby chicks and gathering eggs
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening, photography, writing, history
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My husband and I also have a Pomeranian and a long coat German Shepherd. We live in the Missouri Ozarks
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
When I decided to get chicks, any question I threw at google resulted in answers here

Addy, the pup (she’s almost one), is high defense/protection drive and would not have gone to anybody.
