Hello!!

Hi. I am near Sacramento, California and just got my first baby chicks about 2 1/2 weeks ago. We are currently building them a coop and run and they are living in a large brooder. I went a little crazy and am starting with 15 chicks of several different breeds! I am excited to find such a great source of info.

Hiiii I’m new here too! I went a bit more modest and only got 4. Mostly cause my DH wouldn’t let me get more than the minimum lol We just finished the basics of our coop/run and put the chickies in it today. Low and behold we got a massive storm today. No better way to check the rain/wind proof measures we took! Good luck in your adventures in chicken land!!!

Hubby was less than thrilled, but the cuteness factor (and the fact we eat 3 dzn eggs a week) won him over
